what subjects are you waiting for, what results would you be happy with?
Standard grades in Art and Design, Chemistry, English, Graphic Communication, Maths, Modern Studies, Physics and Spanish.

I'm hoping for eight 1s tbh, I want to study medicine or dentistry but as I said before I'm only fourteen and I just left third year where I sat all my exams! So it's been a new learning experience having to study so much and being under so much pressure. But I think I've done well. The only concern I have is that I might have got a 2 for modern studies, which would kill me since I got 72/72 in the prelim However, if I do I should always get a good appeal.

I don't mind getting a 2 for Art or Graphics, but if I get one for anything else, or I get less than seven 1s and a 2 I'll be disappointed!

    Re: SQA Results Day
The thought of opening that envelope makes me feel physically sick... I studied higher maths, english, physics, chemistry and rmps. I was predicted to get five As, but I really doubt that that will happen now. :/ I find English so hard to predict, but I think I'll get a B as my critical essays weren't too great. Maths was just a complete mess, and such a dissappointment after putting in so much work throughout the entire year. At the time, I thought Physics went ok, but the more I think about it the worse I feel to be honest. I think RMPS and chemistry were my best exams, and my fingers are crossed for As in both. It's quite sad to have to expect AABBB when you were predict at AAAAA though.

Hi everyone, the general tone is sounding remarkably relaxed. (Though a few of you are sounding pleasingly nervous which is good - at least for us. We don't want this to be too easy after all.)

I just wanted to say good luck to all of you, and I hope you get the results you worked for. If any of you have any questions or worries about what is about to unfold, don't hesitate to ask. That's why I'm here.

    Re: SQA Results Day
I did 5 highers and I'm fairly certain that there's going to be quite a large spread.
My predictions (I've been wrong about results before)
    Maths - A/B
    English - A/B
    Music - A (hopefully)
Modern Studies - C/Fail (Taking this was stupid of me)
Psychology - A (I'm not being overconfident with this one. My teacher was brilliant.)

I'll be a bit embarrassed if my Maths and English results are lower than Bs because I took them at AH.

    Good luck to everyone!

I'm not feeling too bad although I'm worried for History since I messed up paper 2.

The subjects I'm waiting for are Higher English, Modern Studies and History as well as Int 2 Spanish. The only subject I feel 100% confident with is Spanish. :emo:

I was going to say that somebody seemed to be having a go at the people who were confident that they had done well (seems to be the done thing on TSR to give neg rep to anyone with an ounce of confidence in their exam results ) but looking at them it seems to be quite random. :dontknow:

As for the exam results I'm so nervous. Got two out of the way last year so I kind of know whats happening but I'm still scared to death.
Looking for 1's and an A in english but realistically I think I may have 2's in physics and german and possibly a B in english. Will be happy with credit grades though! The only exams I came out of happy were mod studs, history and for the first time ever- chemistry.

Im so terrified for these results. I feel myself that I did well, but I dont want to say incase my results are a fail whale that has beached ashore. Hoping for:
    History: A
    English: A/B
    Art: A/B
    Business: A
    Maths: A/B

Would be over the moon with AAABB!

The subject I'm most worried about is modern studies I felt the exam went awful and I did so well in the prelim it'd be a real shame if it all hit the fan. Anyhoo, just remember that SGs matter little in the whole scheme of things. Well, that's the thought that's keeping me going til the 7th...

I'm the exact same! Modern studies was a bit of a shock, usually it is really easy and simple but there was a misprint in the paper and they asked some uncommon questions. However, I usually over-react so I'm hoping for a 1

It was wasn't it!! Yeah same, but I'm wondering what the deal is for appeals, just in case I do get a 2. I've heard it's difficult to get an appeal for standard grade...

I know a few people who have appealed from a 2 to a 1 in the year above. However, my modern studies teacher says she doesn't appeal from 2s to 1s! If I get a 2 though, I will be appealing. I don't care what she says

What on earth are those Bs and 2s in? You always seem really smart on here This is a completely new experience to me, except I sat all my exams a year earlier so it was a bit like getting thrown in at the deep end.

Haha, thanks but I'm pretty sure I slipped up in a few exams. No worries though, I'll be happy if I have around 80% 1/A grades.

I sympathise for you, I don't think I'd be ready to sit my Standard Grades in S3. I would probably be able to pass them all but I doubt my results would be overly impressive. At least you'll have even longer to focus on your Highers. I think we'll be pushed for time and having to work at a fast pace throughout the year.

Anyway, good luck with your results. I'm sure they'll be even more impressive considering you sat them a year early. And there's no doubt your Higher results will benefit due to it!

Oh good, lets just hope it doesn't come to that. And what?! That's ridiculous  why would she say that!?
