Hopefully you can. I did Standard Grade Modern Studies and throughout the whole year I got 1s for my ES but I always got 3 or lower for my KU But the good thing was that in the prelim I got a 1 for my ES and 4 for my KU which averaged to a 2 overall. However, in the actual exam I got 1 for my KU (I revised loads) and 2 for my ES resulting in an overall 2 but my teacher appealed for me to get a 1 for my ES having got it throughout the whole year and I ended up getting two 1s which made it an overall 1. :fluffy:
You can appeal for one individual section?

Absolutely dreading the 7th after that abomination that was Higher Maths Paper 2.. what a joke

Opened it up looking for "easy" question I could do. Question 1,2,3 hrmmm. Question 4,5,6 okayyy... Question 7 WTH???
I think we should also remember that those on TSR are like minded and stereotypical high achievers in academia

It's fine, I've heard loads of people saying that = pass mark will be lowered

I agree, we may all be fussing over A/B boundaries whereas some outside TSR will be fussing over whether they achieve enough to pass well. We do not give the overall picture and secondly my head of maths encouraged us to complain as so many people agreed the style of the question was what made it "harder". I remember getting to question 5b and thinking "aww b*****d" even thought I may have not got the final answer, I've got working and that gives me hope. I remember credit last year thinking well gonna be doing int2 and somehow managed a 2. However there were perhaps 30/130 people in Higher maths this year in our school resitting and are expected to get A's or B's for uni so they will be just as worried.

Sure can, it was done for me in maths last year when I had a 1:2. They appealed the 2 and it was put up to a 1, pointless in that case because the overall grade remained as a 1 but it was a nice gesture I s'pose :P

    Re: SQA Results Day
I sat Advanced Higher Biology, Chemistry and Maths and Higher History this year. I've done a pretty good job of not thinking about results day at all if I can help it, but considering how awful I was at revision this year (I let myself get distracted) I'm dreading it now. I know I won't have done as well as I did in the Prelims and I'm disappointed in myself. That said, last year I came out of the Higher Maths exam and cried, I thought it had gone so badly but I got the grade I wanted in the end so it all came out alright. Ideally I'd like an A1 in Biology and History, and an A2 in Chemistry and Maths but I don't think that's happened. If I get anything below a B I'll be annoyed with myself because I know I should've done better. Not saying a C is a bad grade, just that I'll be angry with myself if I do worse in my final exams than I did in my Prelims.

It's going slowly for me. x.x

I've been reading cheap/free eBooks and working my way through my parents DVD collection to pass time.

Me too. I don't dare to count the number of films I've watched this summer. And I'm only halfway through. *bangs head against wall*

Has anyone noticed the past papers aren't working on the sqa site ?

Note- if it doesn't work for you hold CTRL + F and type 2012! You will then find seven 2012.pdf files.

could this mean this years papers are being uploaded?!

They worked fine this morning. But you're right, they're not working now.
It would be great if they started uploading 2012 PP

I've noticed that since I got an unconditional, I no longer care about my exam results this year.

Medicine at Edinburgh... and well, there is one condition. That Disclosure Scotland confirm I'm not a murderer or paedophile or anything. I've never even had a slap on the wrist from the police, so I'm all good.

One B at Higher? You got this, pal.

    To go and study what?
