    Suggested Book/s for Game Theory
Hi everyone, I am currently planning to start a course at uni in pure economics in september. I have an IB diploma and took HL math and HL econ as part of my IB course and was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for a fun but not 'too' simple book on Game Theory that I could read during the summer before starting the course? I am aware that game theory can involve a lot of maths content but I'm not really looking for a book that is full of mathematical proofs... Thanks in advance

    Games of Strategy by Dixit
An excellent text on game theory, covering a lot of topics, and quite deeply, but a non-technical text. That is, everything is explained thoroughly in words. The biggest advantage of this is that first years can read it without problem, and further it truly develops the intuition of game theory.

Strategies and Games: Theory and Practice by Dutta
Another good text. It covers pretty much everything you would cover in an undergraduate game theory module. Not really that technical, but more formal and technical than Dixit's text.

A Primer in Game Theory by Gibbons
An excellent text on game theory. Quite technical and rigorous, but it's excellent, and you'll definitely need it for your undergraduate game theory module. This, thinking about it, probably isn't the text you're looking for at the moment, to read during your summer, but it's one to keep in mind for later.

I think if you're looking for a good text that isn't too mathematical, I'd recommend the Dixit text. It's coverage of pretty much all topics is excellent, and it really gives you a strong insight into game theory without any mathematical requirement. I think if you mastered this, then when it comes to actually covering game theory in a technical manner, your life will be much easier!

These all seem to be among the top listed books on game theory listed on amazon but I was wondering what people's view were on these? Thanks

I read Predictioneer's game, quite interesting as the guy applied his own model to certain event, to find the outcome which most benefited his client. As a 'fun' book its fairly good.
