The Fate Of Bruce Wayne - The Dark Knight Rises
BIG SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THE FILM.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Hey Guys;
Well, as you know at the end of "The Dark Knight Rises", Batman is seen flying "The Bat" away from Gothem city in order for the nuclear bomb to safely detonate over the ocean. Shortly after this, it explodes presumably killing Batman in the process of saving the city. After this, a memorial of Batman is placed by the police of Gothem City.
After this, Alfred arrives at the Cafe in Italy he mentioned earlier in the film and said he imagined Bruce and his future girlfriend sitting there, they never made contact but they did acknowledge each other's presence (with the nod).
At the end, Alred's dream comes true with Bruce Wayne and Selina sitting at the Cafe drinking.
MY VIEW:
Now, my personal view is he died in the explosion because I am pretty sure no one can survive a nuclear explosion with a blast radius of 6 miles. Well, I know the typical "ejector seat" thing, but while he said he installed a auto-pilot, he clearly stated he never got it working and everybody believes he died he ejected himself from "The Bat" with only seconds to spare, but, I think that since it had a blast radius of 6 miles, the chances of survival are infinitely small.

Re: The Fate Of Bruce Wayne - The Dark Knight RisesProbably did. =P(Original post by Elwyn)
You obviously missed the part where Morgan Freeman (I forget the characters name) found out Bruce had had the auto-pillot fixed 6 months back... -

Re: The Fate Of Bruce Wayne - The Dark Knight Rises
I think Nolan intentionally ended it Inception-style... he gave both indications to how he could have survived such as the fixing of the auto-pilot, and Selina wearing the necklace as well as to how he couldn't have such as the blast radius and Alfred's past imaginary situations...
I'll just do that for you:
