Volunteering interview at charity shop tomorrow!
    Hey guys,
I applied for a volunteering position at my local PDSA charity shop, and received a phone call asking me to come in for an interview on Monday. Thing is, I have never even made it to the interview stage of a job, let alone a volunteer job. If anyone has any advice or tips to share, it would be greatly appreciated.

    You're being interviewed?

I guess dress smartly, smile at all times, be friendly, not too shy, and just be positive all round

    Best of luck! :yy:

Whoa! You need to go to interviews even for a volunteer job? Sounds harsh...things were a bit easier in my day, lolz.

I had the same thing when I volunteered with the British Heart Foundation. You don't need to dress too smartly, just don't look scruffy. They just want to check you're nice and not going to steal from the till XD

Most charity shops struggle to get volunteers so will not turn you away easily! They'll just ask you questions like what hours you want to do/are you happy to be on the till etc. Good look!

You'll walk it, they want you, and they don't even have to pay you. Might ask if you've worked in a shop before, used a till, have experience dealing with customers etc, but none of that's going to be a deal-breaker since they can just stick you with someone who knows what they're doing with no loss of productivity.

I suppose it's some sort of practice for a job interview, even if the OP phrased it as if a volunteer interview is a step up from a job interview
