Re: your favourite one-club man?
Honestly, as a Spurs fan, it has to be Ledley. He was one of the best defenders in the league at one point yet stuck with the club through highs and a lot of lows. Yeah his injuries were all too noticeably catching up with him in the games he played last season, but the sheer dedication he has for the club always shone through.
Honourable mention to Le Tiss, always admired the guy. -
Re: your favourite one-club man?
a few english and italian players
Maldini has to be number 1 because his father was a one club ac milan legend too and theyre hoping maldini's son will be too and have reserved the number 3 shirt for him
then it has to be ryan giggs he's won around 13 league titles now and still going strong
others that deserve a shout are scholes, totti, del piero -
Re: your favourite one-club man?
I would go for Maldini (24yrs at Milan) but as for Matt le Tissier he could of left the club to play any of the top teams plus Spurs in the 90's.
Xavi: “The man I absolutely loved watching as a kid was Matt Le Tissier. His talent was unique. He could dribble past seven or eight players but without speed – he just walked past them. For me he was sensational.” -
Re: your favourite one-club man?The same Raul Gonzalez who was at Real Madrid, Shalke and now Al Sadd?(Original post by mdestroy)
Raul Gonzalez -
Re: your favourite one-club man?
Despite being an Arsenal fan, I'd say Ledley King. He stuck by the club, despite having chronic injury problems - he also scored a goal in 9.7 seconds for Tottenham in 2000, breaking a record for fastest goal (who'd have thought a defender would have that record?).
+ who can forget his tackle vs. Robben in the Prem?
Edit: Link wouldn't work

Re: your favourite one-club man?Which is why Gerrard is even a class above them tbh. Could have gone and won titles etc as he was better than any midfielder at Chelsea/Arsenal/United over the last ten years.(Original post by ArcadeFire)
Not trying to knock the likes of Scholes, Giggs, Casillas etc, but staying at one club for your whole career isn't really much of a hardship when you're challenging for league titles and the champions league every year at one of the biggest clubs in the world. -

Re: your favourite one-club man?I'd rather have somebody who did that and never moved as well as well as saying it was a mistake than somebody who shagged his brother's wife for 8 years.(Original post by DaveSmith99)

'Icon', 'Legend', 'Family man', 'Model footballer'. Hahaha. -
Re: your favourite one-club man? What does that have to do with his loyalty to his club? I was just saying that Giggs and Scholes are more loyal as they have never shown any intention of ever wanting to leave.(Original post by Jim-Jam)

Everyone in Liverpool likes to forget the Stevie 'the saint' Gerrard and all his mates battered a DJ for daring to not play Phil Collins for him, not that that has anything to do with his loyalty to liverpool. -

Re: your favourite one-club man?Okay, I think you will struggle to find anyone who says giggs is a family man or a role model or whatever nonsense you are spouting, but whatever.(Original post by Jim-Jam)
Nothing, it just makes me laugh. -

Re: your favourite one-club man?Tony Adams
My dad actually bought him quite a few pints in the early 90s as they frequented the same pubs in Kentish Town. True story.Last edited by Zürich; 26-07-2012 at 00:23.
