Does anyone else have a test this week?Have my 3rd test this week and I'm sooo nervous! So nervous I've slept at night and dreamt about my test twice! That's how much I think about it during the day! I've had two hour lessons everyday for the past week! I absolutely cannot fail it so depressing! Anyone else feel my pain?

Re: Does anyone else have a test this week?My first one is tomorrow. I'm really hoping I pass. Gonner go slow and carefully to start with until I gain confidence, then careful on the last part of the test too. My instructor said people usually fail in the first 10 or last 10 minutes :/

The best thing I did was not tell anybody at all I had a test, I just said I had a 2 hour lesson if anybody asked
Much less pressure, you can go there with a "doesn't matter if I fail" attitude, and I imagine it's so much better suprising people by telling them you passed. -

Yea I haven't told any family members because the embarrassment of failing just kills me every time! The only person who knows my test date is my instructor! Hopefully I can surprise everyone(Original post by UniMastermindBOSS)

I had no option to keep my test date a secret because my Dad booked it for me. He was tired of the constant weekly driving lessons (I've taken two years of lessons so far
) and decided it was time for me to take a test, whether I felt ready or not. He arranged it all with my driving instructor without my knowledge. I definitely think I'd have preferred to book it myself in secret - so much pressure on me now.
My last couple of lessons have been awful. The only thing I was confident about - my clutch control - has gone to pieces. I can't use the clutch properly to save my life any more. I also find myself panicking more and more every time I come across a situation such as narrowing roads, ambulances, cyclists or roadworks.
My instructor is so worried I won't be test ready that he's even started talking about cancelling the test...though I know my Dad would never let me do that so I'm stuck with it anyway.

Omg I know exactly how u feel! I've been having lessons every day and it seems like I'm getting worse! I don't know it it's the pressure but I felt so ready last week and now I'm doing everything wrong! Mine is this week! This is my third test and like yourself I've been learning for 2 years also! I really want my license some people make it look and sound so easy but I find it really hard!
I'm trying to stay positive but I'm having a hard time

Re: Does anyone else have a test this week?Just brush the worries about the mistakes earlier aside, provided that you keep nerves at bay you do tend to drive better in test conditions as it makes you extra vigilant. At least it did for me. I passed second time and honestly felt terrible going into my second test; I'd had 2 hours with my instructor beforehand and made some horrible errors and yet passed with 3 minors. They don't know how you drove beforehand, they only care about how you drive now.(Original post by Greenzgal)

Re: Does anyone else have a test this week?Hehe thanks. I'm confident at the driving but i'm just expecting to make a really silly mistake. There's a road here where its dual carrageway but the other direction is hidden so it just looks like a 2 lane one way road, and i always forget to move back into the left hand lane when i should(Original post by Greenzgal)
