    Re: Career Advice
Marketing is an incredibly broad term and covers a wealth of areas, especially with the shift to digital platforms that we are experiencing.

The two main routes however will either be 'in house' or agency, the first you'll work exclusively for a company in their marketing department, whereas in an agency you'll be handling the marketing duties for a range of clients, example agency: http://www.highergroundcreative.co.uk/

There is clear career progression within both routes, usually you will start as an account executive and work your way up to senior exec > account manager > account director etc. The good thing is that there's no set time scale as such, if you're competant and are getting results, you could jump to manager fairly quickly.
