Credit Card with Job Offer
I have a job offer, contract has been signed and have received a letter that the company have got the signed contract and that my start date is 10th September. I graduated last month and no longer have my student bank account.
I am hoping to go on holiday for a few weeks before I start but don't have the money at the moment. I do get a sign on bonus when I start my new job, so I was hoping to get a 0% credit card and do a balance transfer to pay for the holiday and use the bonus I receive when I start to repay this in full. I can do the minimum repayments using the savings I have, just don't have enough savings to pay for the whole holiday.
What are my chances of being accepted for a 0% credit card? Given that i'm not a student anymore but waiting to start a job. Any useful information on this would be great, thanks. -
Re: Credit Card with Job Offer
Without knowing your credit history its hard to say for instance what is your history of loan repayment, do you regularly max out your credit facilities, are you 'credit hungry', age etc.?
If you havent abused past credit cards then id say thew chances arent to bad of you getting one, although i believe most of them ask for a relatively high salery to be eligable [could be talking waffle there though
but yar find a card you like look at the criteria and see if you meet it, if you do theres no reason why they wont grant you one
