I have a problem of spend money
Okay well I am kind of rich compared to the people I see here, I am no trying to prove anything, I genuinely need help. The problem i face is as soon i get money and i spend it real quick and live broke for the rest of time. Basicly my Dad transfers me 800 a month, I dont how but money just gets over so fast. Last week I got a 1k from my dad, out of that i made 600 on my last accommodation installment but the rest i spent it quick. Seeing enough money account and I go bawling. Went clubbing spent 150 quid there, went the casino made 300 but then bought myself the new google tablet and other things. bought clothes and stuff etc, but I now just like every month money has gone and i have to live broke. How do i stop this from happening.

Although the crimsonidol was being funny... it might be a good idea. Not giving it to him, but asking someone to transfer you small amounts of money at a time. For example... your Dad giving your £800 a month in £200 weekly installments? Or maybe less and ask him to open a savings account with say, £200 a month in?

Maybe it would be a good idea to set up a savings account? You can transfer most of the money you get, into it every month.
And a lot of savings accounts have options where you can only withdraw a few times a year - so you can't keep dipping into it!

It's very simple. Stop spending money as much.

Start working for your money instead of living off handouts! This will stop you spending it on stupid things. After you can establish that spending that £250 is the same as spending a week of hard work you will not be so inclined to waste it.

Your father is doing you no favours.

Incidentally, £800 / month doesn't make you rich, not even compared with most students.

What you meant was ' He has a problem of writing English' ?

If so yes, English is not my first language, though I can speak four other languages fluently which includes English, Spanish, Hindi and French. What about you sir? I hope English is not your only language because it seems like a disaster.

I agree. OP, You need to start EARNING your money to realise the value of it. Having £800 handed over to you in a plate and splashing out on whatever you see isn't the way forward.

Tycho, I'm interested in finding out what amount would make you 'rich'?

£800/month is quite a decent amount at that age IMO

Re: I have a problem of spend money
Do some calculations and figure out exactly how much money you absolutely NEED per month. I.e. rent, food, plus a small budget for clothes and going out. Get a job to cover this amount. Set up a new savings account for the money your dad transfers to you and DO NOT TOUCH this money for a few years, live off of your wages. You might have to dip into your savings to get started, and perhaps in emergencies, but for the most part try to leave the money in the bank.
Getting a job will teach you the value of money and how to be more independant. After a year or so of saving your dad's handouts you will have a lot of money, and hopefully you'll have matured enough to deal with it a lot better.

Seriously, count yourself lucky, you're incredibly fortunate to be handed that money on a plate. I'm 18 and a student, I've got three jobs and am saving every penny I have, I would love to be in your position! In just a matter of weeks you'll receive what takes me MONTHS of hard work to earn...

He was making a joke based on your grammar error in the thread title.
