ladies Advice Please - Store in need
i am considering restocking my online store at the moment and i was wondering if you could let me know what is the most popular item of clothing right now, for example is it graphic t-shirts (like the ones with jessie j, rhianna on them?) is it dresses, shorts etc. i know this might be a lil bit of a duh question because it depends what people are looking for at the time but i just need some general advice which would be really useful
cheers -
Re: ladies Advice Please - Store in need
The frequency I see loose fitting t-shirts that contain a picture of some "alternative" icon is absurd; such as http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Label...efault,pd.html

Re: ladies Advice Please - Store in need
Partly because of the current obsession with Fifty Shades, there is a growing demand for slightly naughty or cheeky clothing, e.g. dresses with cut-outs, see through lacy tops. For instance Topshop have launched a new Sensationalist range full of lacy bralets, strappy dresses and tops with see-through panels, silk tops, suspender tights and studs all over.
This trend can be seen in quite a few different stores. New Look has quite a lot of tops with lacy, see-through panels, lacy bralets and bandeaus and items such as corset belts in keeping with the trend!
Some other popular trends for Autumn 2012/13...
- Peplum dresses/tops are really in at the moment, you can't walk into any highstreet store without seeing these.
- Loose knits, boyish sweaters are also everywhere, mostly in muted or monochrome shades.
- Slightly military or androgynous coats and sweaters also seem to be in demand, however so are frills and lace, I've seen them layered together which I think is going to be a popular look. Print dresses are still popular too.
- Printed tees remain really popular, the mock "band tees" are pretty much everywhere.
Hope this helps... As mentioned above, it's definitely worth taking a look at the websites of leading high street stores. New Look, Topshop, Miss Selfridge, as well as fashion blogs.
