Looking for 5 sci-fi/horror/fantasy films to watch :D

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Looking for 5 sci-fi/horror/fantasy films to watch :D
Would the good people of TSR recommend me some good (sci-fi/horror/fantasy) movies to watch? At least 5? Planning a movie marathon soon
    I'm planning to watch:
    Skyline

I've watched 28days, Resident Evil movies, I Am Legend, LOTR and Carriers. Any others related to it is much appreciated

The Crazies is awesome, I Am Legend is a good one if you haven't already seen it, Frontière(s) is good if you like gory stuff.

Legion is a really strange film but I kinda liked it

Hmm... :beard: I'll have a think and maybe add some more later!

Don't bother watching Skyline, it's complete rubbish imo

    A few suggestions:
    Signs
    Blade runner
Inception (if you haven't seen it)
    Back to the future
    Halloween (the original)
    The Shining
    Pan's Labyrinth
Batman Begins & The Dark Knight

Oh and of course Shaun of the Dead

I'm a sucker for horrors set in space (two birds one stone in terms of what you want to watch), try Sunshine, Event Horizon and Aliens.

I think skyline is still worth a watch, it was pretty low budget I think and the cgi is quite well done. Plus Turk from scrubs is in it

I will recommend a couple, The Thing (1982) and Poltergeist, both pretty scary films!

I've just thought of another one...what about the Alien & Predator films? The first couple are a bit old, but there's loads of them and when you've watched every one of those, you can watch Alien Vs Predator 1 & 2! I think there's also another one called Predators...

Event Horizon, weirdest movie I've ever seen.

And I actually really liked cabin in the woods. It was just so different to all the other horrors out there at the mo. However, no way should it have been a 15!
