Looking for 5 sci-fi/horror/fantasy films to watch :D

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Haha, yeh It's surprisingly a good movie, caught me off-guard first time I watched it. I presume you mean 1 hour 3 mins rather than 1 min 3 seconds lol...

I realise this is your thread, but do you have any suggestions for movies? I'm always looking for new movies.
I was surprised too! Thought it was a lame teen movie but it is not! Yeah; 1hours 3min - I was at the edge of my seat most of the time watching that movie :hide: hehe. Haven't finished it yet; will continue after this.

Here are some that I could recommend:

The Road (2009) - Post-apocalyptic/Cannibalism movie - totally recommend it!
    Caged (2010) - Horror - French Movie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caged_(2010_film) - Was ok
The boy in the striped pyjamas (2008) - the horror of the Holocaust
Schindler's List (1993) - the horror of the Holocaust as well but true story.
Pontypool (2008) - psychological thriller - a bit confusing, but try it

Hope those are watchable lol : )

    I will, thanks!
The above is for you as well

    x.
Just finished Stake Land; very good movie

I wonder why it's not a 'major' box office though.

Thanks for the reccomendations, I'll be trying Pontypool and Caged out soon enough as I've seen the others and they are amazing. You might want to try out the following too:

Another Earth (2011) (semi Sci-fi/more of a drama)
    Cargo (2009) (German space sci-fi/thriller)

I enjoyed both of these, but they may not be to everyone's taste, so watch with caution .

You have to watch V For Vendetta. It's sort-of sci-fi/fantasy and is the greatest film ever made by anyone.

Yeah; watch Pontypool with caution too; it's a bit confusing for me. Caged was ok; thriller

I think Labyrinth is a good fantasy (possibly for slightly younger people though )

The Abyss, for it is excellent. It's set under the sea too and just ends up really claustrophobic and everything, it's brilliant.
