How do I provide UMS if my board is CIE?
    Hello,

I will be applying to LSE and Cambridge for 2013; however, they now request UMS percentages which my exam board (CIE) does not provide.

Recently CIE has provided "Percentage Uniform Marks", a UMS equivalent, to some countries (but not my own). Instead, CIE provides me with a 'grade breakdown' (my own terminology) of what grade we got on each exam paper of each subject (eg. A overall in Maths; A on the pure paper, B on the mechanics paper).

Does anyone have any idea how to deal with the situation?

I'm sorry I can't answer your question, but I was wondering if you'd be kind enough to answer mine? How did you get the "grade breakdown"? For my results I only recieved the overall grade and was told by the head of exams that CIE doesn't provide UMS but I really want to know the marks. By the way I live in Qatar, Doha. Where are you?
Thanks for any info- I'd be eternally grateful

You grade breakdown should be provided by your school/centre; you'll normally find out when you go back to school. You won't get the marks, you'll just find out if for example, you got an A in your Mechanics exam for Maths.

I hope you got the results you were hoping for!
