Re: How much are you paying for your 1st year UG or PG accommodation?
Everyone seems to be paying way over 100 pounds/week. Personally, I don't mind sharing bathrooms/toilets or have a room with no washbasin. Is it worth spending so much more for something that doesn't really benefit you?
There are loads of choices for accommodation, and rent at most Universities is usually under 100 pounds/week unless you're studying in London.
Or you people have loads of money, and want the luxury of having an ensuite. I would like an ensuite too, but I can't afford it.Last edited by GuyUK; 01-08-2012 at 23:53. -

Re: How much are you paying for your 1st year UG or PG accommodation?Yes but this is central London, zone 1. Five minutes walk from the UCL Bloomsbury campus, so £150 actually isn't bad at all.(Original post by GuyUK)
Really? £149 a week for Self catered, Single Room w/washbasin is reasonable for London? It ain't even catered, or ensuite so no bathroom/shower or toilet, just a washbasin! -

On holloway road there are halls charging £175+ for a basic room with washbasin and self catered, and for a standard UNITE room... those can stretch up to the £200+ not even central.(Original post by amyelizabeth2681)

Re: How much are you paying for your 1st year UG or PG accommodation?2005/2006 I had a room at the old goldsmid house down at marble arch. Self-catered...
£69 p/w.
Oh, and my fees cost ~£1000 per year. £150 is not reasonable for a shoe box anywhere. My generation was mildly pooped on but your generation is being royally **** on.Last edited by Llamageddon; 02-08-2012 at 00:50. -

Re: How much are you paying for your 1st year UG or PG accommodation?I know, UNITE are so expensive! Just hope I'll find out soon if they give me my preferences. It was a choice between wanting an ensuite or being close to the uni, so chose location. Not to mention there's no way I would have been able to afford the £179 MINIMUM per week for an ensuite. Gaaahhhhh(Original post by Kukukichu)
