    If you cant read that at any time then you shouldn't be allowed on the road without glasses, unless there was an actual medical reason for it i.e migraine

    I had an eye test earlier this year and received new glasses. When I started to learn, I was still worried about reading a number plate so I went outside with my girlfriend and measured the distance out from my neighbour's car. People's perception of their eye sight is almost never right. You need to confirm it.

    I would try to take all steps before you get to your practical driving test, because if you fail the eye test section you will have your provisional license taken off you.
