Which domain registering site is better?
I'm thinking about setting up my own website for job seeking purposes. I've looked at some domain registering websites but there are so many of them and I don't know which one is best. This is quite new to me as I've never need to set one up until now.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some domain registering sites?

    Thanks.

Domain registration is what it is.

Unlike web hosting, most domain registrars are the same/offer the same thing.

So pick the cheapest. As long as it gives you "full DNS access" and "Right to transfer".

Personally I've had a great experience with Hosting24.com.

One.com I'd also rate very highly.

Although both businesses focus on buying domains WITH the hosting packs, you can get the domains separately if you look carefully in the site.

    But really, it doesn't matter.

The only one I would not recommend is GoDaddy. Despite popularity, GoDaddy do not offer Live chat support, and will bombard you with hidden fees.

I've used 123-reg.co.uk for getting domain names and I've been happy with them.

As is said above if you're putting up a website you'll also need a hosting provider (if you don't have one already) you'll also need a hosting provider and domain name provider that can be configured together - getting both from the same place should make that easier.

Other than, perhaps, that totally avoidable ~12 hour DNS outage they had the other month?

    123 reg is pretty popular.

    www.namecheap.com

I've used many domain registrars in the past and I think Namecheap offer the best service.
