Anyone know how Morrisons hire sales assistants?
There's a Morrisons near me and i already sent them a CV a month ago with no response. I thought maybe they hire through their website, but when i checked they only seem to hire managers, etc that that, not sales assistants.
Has anyone worked at Morrisons and know how they advertise for sales assistants? -
Re: Anyone know how Morrisons hire sales assistants?
They don't like CVs, they use an application form format instead.

Print it off and hand it in to the store manager directly. If that's not possible, hand in to customer services like I did

Re: Anyone know how Morrisons hire sales assistants?Sorry, didn't see this bit specifically. Use the general one at the bottom of the page I gave. Yeah, it's a little confusing, I was stumped on that one for a while.(Original post by SarrBar)

Re: Anyone know how Morrisons hire sales assistants?
Thanks guys.
Do you think it would hurt to post the application form in rather than hand it in? I feel really intimidated walking up to the tills and asking to speak to the manager (they don't really have a customer service point).
Plus i have been to a few places and asked to see the manager and they are often not in! So it's a wasted journey. -
Re: Anyone know how Morrisons hire sales assistants?
Is it a new one opening?
Online for my local one there's only managerial jobs plus bakers.
But it says there's a kind of open day thing, that we can phone up for to book a place for. But that was under a different section of careers, or whatever they call it. Sorry I can't help more, my mum found the page so I don't know exactly what she clicked on. -
Re: Anyone know how Morrisons hire sales assistants?
They don't have a customer service point in my local one. And i don't know anyone who works there
Maybe i should post it addressed to the manager so then at least it'd be delivered to him? (not that i really trust Royal Mail).
And no it's not a new store, it's been there ages.
It's a bit weird how they hire sales assistants, very mysterious. I have still no idea where they advertise for those. -

Re: Anyone know how Morrisons hire sales assistants? They hire sales assistants through the direct.gov jobs website, as I saw some posted on there just this morning (I think it was one each for the canteen, bakery, butchers, and fish counters).

Anyone know how Morrisons hire sales assistants?
I handed my application form into the customer service desk and just put 'fao personnel officer' on the envelope. Within a week I got called for an interview which I have next week

Best way to discover if they're hiring is to ask instore, that's how I found out my store was taking on, they hadn't actually advertised anywhere.
Hopefully I get it

Re: Anyone know how Morrisons hire sales assistants?
I was told my the manager of my local store that they tend not to employ under 18s, i think more supermarkets are becoming increasingly 18+ in case anyones under 18 and trying to apply for morrisons. (there will be exceptions of course but i think they'd prefer 18 year olds which is understandable)

Anyone know how Morrisons hire sales assistants?Yeah it's cause they prefer to not put under 18s on tills because they'd have to ask someone else to id every time someone purchases something with an age rating I think(Original post by deedee123)
