Driving Test :S
Hey

I've got my driving test very very soon and I just wanted to ask, does everyone book in an hours practice before the test. I failed my test the first time round
but I did have an hours practice before and I felt pretty good but this time I can't have an hours practice and for some weird reason I don't feel that confident now.
Has anyone passed without having an hours practice before their test?
I know that there must be some but I just want to see as it may boost my confidence up a bit.
Thanks

Re: Driving Test :S
I didn't have an hour before my test, but I might have driven to the test centre.
The trick with it is to act confident (but not cocky!) to the examiner. My first test I struggled because my legs were shaking with nerves causing me to stall but on my second one I just relaxed and passed easily.
If you do find yourself shaking or anything take a deep breath in, tense all your muscles and relax slowly while breathing out, that should stop any nerves
At the end of the day, it's only a driving test and it's only difficult because everyone feels the pressure to pass, but nothing bad happens if you do fail so just relax -
Re: Driving Test :S
I had an hours lesson/practice before each of my tests but it's unrepresentative of the test conditions. You could do the manoeuvres perfectly beforehand but mess up on test, however if you drive well before the test, it can give you a confidence boost, but that's all it does.
I failed four times, each time I'd had a perfect lesson beforehand; however on my fifth I had a terrible lesson yet passed. -

Re: Driving Test :S
I had an awful lesson just before the test; I was an absolute wreck, I stalled two times at the start of the lesson, I made so many mistakes and when into the test with little self confidence. I think I needed that one hour of absolute breakdown because by the time of the test, I was calm on the outside and I didn't stall - I made very few mistakes and calmly handled any problems as I thought that I have nothing to lose by going through the test. I managed to pass with the driving instructor praising me for my driving
If anything, making every possible mistake before the test allowed me to prepare for it but we all handle situations differently so see what you are comfortable with doing.
