    Anyone know how to best answer criminal law problem and essay questions?

    I really struggle, and I've got a retake to do

    LMAO...I tried that and failed miserably...(I did forget my statute book though). I find them irritating, I can't get the order right.

    Use the IDEA structure. Identify the offence, define it, explain the actus reus and mens rea (causation if necessary) then finally apply it to the given scenario eg in this case it is evident that John will be charged with assault under s.39…etc. Use appropriate cases to shoe your legal knowledge and understanding throughout your essay.
