    need help choosing a levels
    hi guys,
i need help choosing my A levels for college this year. im currently considering choosing:

    biology
    chemistry
    maths
    psychology OR economics

im an A grade student apart from english literature which stands at a B grade. i dont know whether to choose psychology OR economics both subjects have their pro's and con's. psycology will go really well with biology and could be a possible career path in the near future however i want to do medicine and i need a subject which will make me stand out and economics seems to be prefered and it goes really well with maths. universtities dont seem to mind however economics is prefered over psycology. i need 3 scienecs to study medicine which i have.

however this mommnet in time i need to choose the subject that could get me a potential A grade at As. any Advice?

what subject would you choose? which one is esaier?

any advice will be highly apreciated

Economics will look better for universities, as ALOT of people do psychology, and it will also add a bit f variation to your other subjects.

But don't worry about how this decision affects your career path, the main objective of your a-levels is to get you on your course at university, so take that into consideration above all else

You don't need three sciences to study medicine. I would choose which ever subject you prefer to study. Economics will not make you "stand out" and Psychology will not make you seem as a weaker candidate. Subject choices (unless explicitly stated) do not form a part in the selection process when it comes to applying for medicine.

Don't listen to this advice OP. As the poster above me has said, Economics won't look better for universities over Psychology. It genuinely doesn't matter for your 4th subject.

Choose the one you're more interested in and better at. That will lead to better results. An A in Psychology puts you in a much better position than a B in Economics.

    This is good advice.

Be aware that Psychology at A-Level is very essay based, and isn't as scientific as Biology or Chemistry, for example.

    *this*

I've known admissions tutors who think incredibly highly of psychology A level as the way that it is studied is much closer to degree level science in general than the bog standard bio/chem/physics science A levels (although you need the content of the standard sciences as a basis for science degrees).
