Gay marriage to be introduced in Scotland
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...itics-18981287
Scotland is set to become the first part of the UK to introduce gay marriage after the SNP government announced plans to make the change.
Hopefully the UK government follows sooner rather than later. -

Not really on topic, but your signature seems to suggest you are a nationalist socialist. -

Re: Gay marriage to be introduced in Scotland
They abolished prescriptions fees and tuition fees, rid their NHS of privatisation, and now they're the first part of the UK to have gay marriages. They're better than us; this is why we can't have nice things.

Re: Gay marriage to be introduced in ScotlandI don't think we rid the NHS of privatisation; we just never privatised it in the first place. Unless it was privatised a long time ago and I'm unaware.(Original post by Id and Ego seek)

Gay marriage in England should be announced by 2014, too.
Ah. There you are.(Original post by tufc)
It's not marriage. Marriage can never be gay, it's inherently heterosexual. More gay imperialism.

Re: Gay marriage to be introduced in ScotlandIf the definition of gay can be changed, why can't the definition of marriage?(Original post by tufc)

Re: Gay marriage to be introduced in ScotlandBecause the word 'marriage' is defined by the history of the institution of marriage in the UK. The word 'gay' is simply an adjective that refers to neither institution nor history.(Original post by Politricks)

Re: Gay marriage to be introduced in ScotlandMarriage has been changed in the UK both though. In fact, the Church of England was only created when Henry VIII had a difference of views with the Vatican over his marriage.(Original post by tufc)
