Re: comfirmed place before 16th of august? Are you taking A levels?(Original post by Gclarke94)
Ucas Track has informed me of a confirmed place before results day. Why would this be? -

Are you taking A levels? -
Re: comfirmed place before 16th of august?Educated guess is that it's just confirmation that you've set a firm choice. To be 100% sure:(Original post by Gclarke94)
3 Alevels and 1 BTEC
What are you offer conditions?
When did you set your firm (and insurance, if you have one) choice?
What does Track say for your firm choice? Conditional or unconditional? -
Re: comfirmed place before 16th of august? My offer was orginally conditional but it was changed to unconditional yesterday. My offer conditions are 240 Ucas points which it still says although it has been changed to an unconditional offer and when i first log into track it says that(Original post by Potally_Tissed)

The current status of your application is:
Congratulations! place at (the university) has been confirmed.
You will receive a Confirmation Letter shortly.Last edited by Gclarke94; 25-07-2012 at 18:27. -
Re: comfirmed place before 16th of august?Presumably you got at least DD or MMM in your BTEC to give you 240 (or more) UCAS points from it, and your BTEC results were then sent automatically to the university who have confirmed your place since you've met the offer(Original post by Gclarke94)

Re: comfirmed place before 16th of august? No, just the A level results. Though I hadn't realised that BTEC results can be sent at any time throughout the year. Also slightly surprised that you took three A levels yet received an offer that could be achieved with only your BTEC grades, but congrats(Original post by Gclarke94)

Re: comfirmed place before 16th of august? What is the exact name of your BTEC qualification? If you've done it alongside a few A-levels, you most likely did the subsidiary diploma which is the equivalent of one A-level, and therefore the maximum points you can achieve is 140 UCAS points.
There is a subsidiary diploma (One A level)
A diploma (2 A levels)
And an extended diploma (3 A levels)
If this is the case, then i'd ring up the university, as you'd still need 100 points from your A-levels. (If you achieved the maximum Distinction* grade) It might be a mistake on their part, or they've made you unconditional for other reasons.
Good luck.Last edited by MattieB; 27-07-2012 at 18:20.
