Hi
I applied for SAAS funding ages ago, April I think, and I haven't got an award notice yet :/ do I need to contact SAAS, or is this normal to have to wait this long??

You should have received a letter by now. Did you just apply for tuition fees, minimum loan, income assessed loan, etc?

I think you can track the progress of your application on their website (although that may be a total lie, sorry). It could be that they're waiting for you to send some documents if it's your first year applying for the income assessed loan. Or maybe they just never received it for some strange reason. I would get in touch with them though, you should have received a letter a while ago

I applied on the last day of the deadline (for tuition fees only) and havent recieved anything either, though theyre website says theyre still working on earlier applications? Should I send them an email or just wait?

If it says they're working on earlier applications then they haven't got to yours yet so just wait it out.

I received mine during freshers week last year.. if u applied before the deadline you are 'guaranteed' to have funding in time for the start of your course so don't worry

First of all, check whether your status is "award letter sent". It also tells you when they have sent it. I would say that if your status is "award letter sent" for at least 7 days (letter being sent within the UK), then just click on "dublicate award letter". They will resend it to you.

I applied the day it opened last year, and didn't get my notice until the end of August. I applied as soon as they emailed telling me that I was to reapply this year, and I've not got mine yet. The website says they sent it on the 9th of May though.

Last year, I had to ask for a duplicate letter because it said the same thing, but no letter had arrived. I'm going to phone up on Monday to ask them why - I know people who applied later than me who have their award notices.

Phoned SAAS and they said it was a fault at their end all is good thanks xxx
