HELP! I think I may have chosen the wrong nursing branch...
Hi, I have a conditional offer to study LD nursing at Cumbria uni in September which I have accepted. I have always wanted to do nursing and after various voluntary placements I decided LD was the branch for me. However, I. March I started my part time job as a care assistant for the elderly in the community. I absolutely love it and do not want to do anything else. I am presuming it is way to late withdraw and re-apply as I am due to start in 2 months. Does anyone know if it is possible to change once you have started?? Would really appreciate any help anyone has. Thanks!!

At my Uni it was possible to swap branches at the end of first year. All branches were taught together for the first year then in 2nd & 3rd you separate into specific branches. You could only swap though if there was a space in that branch or another student wanted to swap with you. Contact the Uni and check if it's an option. They might even allow you to switch before you start.

Depends on your uni structure the programme. At mine we had a common foundation year which all branches study & then people can change at the end of the year if they wanted to. But some unis are branch specific from the beginning. Best thing to do is check with your uni x
