I'm sorry but that's bull****, the statistic itself is correct but that's because the murdered are targeted people that murderers know due to motives like money, jealousy etc.
So while you are more likely to be murdered by someone you know, it is much much safer to go on holiday with friends and not people you met off the internet.

There's always a party pooper. Just take it at face value and lighten up. Leave them to holiday if they want to and you can go on your own holiday with your friends.
