Whats the least skilled job I could do in order to get a UK visa?
I'm already studying in the UK but whats the least skilled job (according to the immigration policy anyway) I could do after graduation in order to continue living here? I just want to know what sort of options I would have, if I dont do as well as I hope to.

You could claim to have a wasp in your house back home and get asylum. Or if you get a pet mouse immigration will take it into account when considering how strong your ties to the uk are. Saying the mouse might get stung by the wasp if you go back will almost certainly work. Just make sure its a cute mouse.

Or I could buy myself four lions and have them eat the mouse up

Re: Whats the least skilled job I could do in order to get a UK visa? Why would you want the least skilled job available? I'm sure they'll have plenty of those in your own country.(Original post by NocturnalInsomniac)

Re: Whats the least skilled job I could do in order to get a UK visa?In order to qualify for a work visa, you need a job with a yearly salary of at least 20,000 GBP. If it is a scarcity job, a list of which you can find on the UK Border Agency website, that is all you need, but if it is a job which is not on the scarcity list, your prospective employer would need to prove that they were unable to find a suitable British or EU candidate.(Original post by NocturnalInsomniac)

Re: Whats the least skilled job I could do in order to get a UK visa? You could probably become a citizen of some two bit eastern european country and then move here. The capped immigration may as well be of student types.(Original post by NocturnalInsomniac)

Re: Whats the least skilled job I could do in order to get a UK visa? They'll have better jobs in my own country, that I could actually get. Thats not what I'm looking for though.(Original post by Astronomical)

Re: Whats the least skilled job I could do in order to get a UK visa?
I recall a while ago some females being granted work visas as exotic dancers ...
this was like 10 years ago though ... and females ... does your country have some unique native dance? ...or could you make one up on the spot to convince the visa people? -
Re: Whats the least skilled job I could do in order to get a UK visa? That would take a while and be a bit of a hassle? And I would have to move out from here...(Original post by green.tea)

Re: Whats the least skilled job I could do in order to get a UK visa?
Get a job in a supermarket, you don't really need 'skills' just basic maths and english
If you work full time you can be earning enough too. They also have some jobs specifically for graduates
Also if you can speak another language... i don't know where you're from... but that is extremely desirable, you don't always need a certificate in that language if it is your mother-tongue as long as you have proof of being able to speak adequate/good English

Just speak with a foreign accent and they will let you stay forever and give you a council house.
...but anyway I dont need a council house, I can look after myself

Re: Whats the least skilled job I could do in order to get a UK visa?
All your questions could be answered by spending 10 mins on the UKBA site.Last time I checked you needed to accumulate a total of 100 points from their tier 2 point system. You get 10 points for being able to speak english, so you're already 10% in.

Re: Whats the least skilled job I could do in order to get a UK visa?I could definitely do that, my english and basic math are pretty good. Oh thats exactly what I wanted to know...but wouldn't the supermarkets not be as keen to take foreigners? Since they're the ones who would have to sponsor me?(Original post by RachelSophia)

I speak two other languages, so that could help I guess
