I have Crohn's disease. The problem started about 2 years ago when I started having really bad stomach pains. Lasted until September last year when I was diagnosed and given medication. Since then I've had almost no problems (haven't had diarrhea since around February).

The problem I have atm is that I can't poo. It started on Tuesday, and I hadn't been for a couple of days before that. I've tried several times when I have the urge, and it "feels" like I'm pooing, but nothing comes out and I'm getting worried now. What should I do? I read that eating foods with high fibre content helps. I ate a full box of strawberries earlier but still nothing. I'm not really sure if it's connected to my Crohn's disease either. Advice is appreciated.
My mums got crohns and sadly it is a very common problem experienced by crohns suffers. If might help to book an appointment with a good dietitian and see if they can plan an appropriate diet for.

You might also be better off visiting a crohns expert as opposed to a doctor as they will understand your symptoms a lot better if the situation persists for long.

doesn't happen overnight  Eat a high fibre diet over a few weeks and you'll notice the change hopefully. Also check with your doc if this is compatible with your crohn's disease - wouldn't want you to like die cos of me!
