Is it safe to use a Sony Vaio without it's battery?

    Is it safe to use a Sony Vaio without it's battery?
    If it is I think i'll do this and keep the battery for when I need to take it with me but i don't want to try it without another opinion

    In a word, yes. I don't really see the point though, unless you're concerned about weight or something.

    The batteries are really expensive so I don't want to ruin the battery life because it's plugged into the mains unless i'm out somewhere with it
