    Manga - can anyone recommend?
I've been reading Ouran High School Host Club and Vampire Knight and I really enjoy them. I only came across them by chance: my sister had watched the anime versions and so we both bought a manga volume and it carried on from there.

Sorry if I sound inexperienced, I'm just not sure where to go from here!
Can anyone recommend another manga series I might enjoy?

    Thanks very much

Psyren (series is finished, twas a very good anime...stumbled upon it by chance and boy was I happy...it's SOOO good ...i swear the more you read the better the story gets and the more interesting it becomes @_@)

Naruto (like the best anime in the world haha, Itachi <3...series is still on-going...really good if you like ninjas and they have special abilities )

Bleach (really good up until they defeated Aizen...then it turns into some retarded ass story line...series is still on-going)

Fairy Tail (my friend got me into this...it's a really good anime if you like magic)

One Piece (just starting reading this...and I swear it's the LONGEST manga EVERRR...almost 700 chapters and it's still on-going...but it is really good ^_^)

Haha, now that I look at it I pretty much listed out the anime that I read!! XD
But I have good taste ;D

P.S. if you wanna read um online (which is what I do)...I would go to www.mangareader.net

    Naruto! xD
Oh, yes. I think the series is ending soon, but I heard from another source (which I don't fully trust) that this may not be the case. If it does end soon, then I can highly recommend it for its storyline and characters. If not, then it may end up dragging on too much...

EDIT: As for Bleach, just stop reading at the chapter called 'Farewell Swords' - that was supposed to be the final one.

As far as I'm aware both of those titles are basically yaoi fan service manga, can I therefore assume you want more of that or do you want something completely different?

If you want my personal manga recommendation then try The World God only knows. Its a rom-com that is fairly heavy on the genre parody.

Try and avoid the big three (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece) if you don't like long dragged out stories full of filler, which also feature every cliché in the book.

I don't read a lot of manga so I can only recommend the ones that I have. Naruto was the first, and I'm still following it today. Would definitely recommend. Another is Bleach, and then there's Death Note. Those are all popular examples of the shounen genre - the first two being action based and Death Note being a really engaging crime/mystery thriller with a supernatural twist. Death Note I would absolutely recommend you read the first couple chapters of.

Thanks for the detailed list! Luckily my brother and boyfriend have the bleach, naruto and one piece series between them so I think I'll ask to borrow the first few volumes and see how I like them
I'll definitely be having a look at Fairy Tail on manga reader because I love magic! :P

I'm open to pretty much any type, although I am partial to a bit of romantic comedy! :P
If it isn't too much trouble, could you recommend some similar Manga titles to the ones I mentioned?
I have had a peek at the recommendation you gave me, and I like the look of it. I think I'll be reading more of that when I get the chance! Thankyou very much!

I just googled K-On! and I really like the look of it! I'm a musician so the fact that it is about musicians is really appealing! :P

    Berserk.
    This, times 10,000.

Quite possibly, the Golden Age Saga in Berserk is one of the greatest stories I have read, period, of all time.

You a male or a female OP?

If you're a female, have a look at Rosario Vampire maybe, not great, but entertaining.

I'll definitely have a look at Rosario Vampire - I used to love Vampires until Twilight made them sparkle (Hence having read Vampire Knight. :P)
I'm glad I made this thread, people have given so many recommendations
