As already pointed out, when you signed up, in those terms and conditions which you said you had read and agreed to it says that you allow TSR to use anything you type or upload in any way they like - but you retain ownership of the information. So while it would have been nice for them to tell her, data protection and any other laws /etc didn't mean they had to.

Haha, aye! As others have pointed out, TSR do reserve the right to use anything we upload for whatever they want, but a notification wouldn't have gone amiss And merci beaucoups!
