Re: Labour's immigration policy purposely destroyed the UK
There is a reason why its called benefits. Its not a lot of money and quite frankly some people such as the disabled "need" it.
If one day the UK is gripped by war or you seek better opportunities abroad; and have to move to lets say... Mongolia, I wonder how you would feel and someone started an anti immigration thread like this. -
Re: Labour's immigration policy purposely destroyed the UK
Extra note for ya: After the events of world war 2, Britain was a broken country.. so much so that it invited members of its Caribbean colonies etc to come to the UK to help rebuilt their economy.
These "immigrants" later became nurses, construction workers and industrial workers. They helped "fill" the gap and were essential to Britain's survival and economic growth. Take that into consideration when creating such snide threads...

Re: Labour's immigration policy purposely destroyed the UKWait, did you even watch the opening ceremony?(Original post by MagicNMedicine)
yeah they've got athletes from every country in the world
If its the London games why not have it a British games for British athletes not from all these small countries nobody has ever heard of
The Industrial revolution was apparently driven by africans who played cricket and walked around in top hats.
I've never seen anything so funny in my life. My ancestors were inventing steam machines and rifles when these immigrants ancestors were running after antelopes with spears.
Britain isn't half black, but the Olympic opening ceremony does show how insane the labour/PC view of the world is. -
Re: Labour's immigration policy purposely destroyed the UKI thought diversity was the main draw of multi culturalism? But you actually want everyone to be the same?(Original post by Sharpshooter)
The world's becoming mixed raced, please accept the inevitability of globalisation.
Most of Britains immigrants as of 2011 are non-white. Most non-whites are having more children than British whites which I think in a strange way is a good thing as we will become more diverse IMO which is needed.
I'll be checking the school census and hoping that non whites are still increasing, it was 22% last time for primary school children so hope it increases.
Also important to check the 2011 census ethinicity results due out eventually.
I agree with the majority in that the UKIP are utter morons who still think Britain owns half the world and are not fit for politics or their BNP friends... However I can agree with the OP in that Immigration is a problem.
The problem is there are usually two types of people in this debate- the typical bnp hooligan and the over privileged that believe everything The Guardian has ever said.
The reason why Labour is increasing immigration is so that they can secure a steady stream of grateful voters from the immigrant population- the same thing happend in America with irish immigrants.
Now- I'm no Torie but I would Support them hands down over Labour- they have shown themseves as morally deficent (anyone whos been seeing how tony blairs been doing can see this), by lying about everything under the sun to gain votes (check out some of the "facts" that ken livingtone came out with in the run for mayer) - and they even betray their own family which is low even for politicans (Milibands).
I'm a left wing socialist that beleives in equality and freedom of speech and for that reason come 2015 I'll probably be voting Torie as the far lesser of two evils.Last edited by Davij038; 28-07-2012 at 13:09. -
Re: Labour's immigration policy purposely destroyed the UK1) That doesn't make it right, just because other people do.(Original post by callum9999)
You might not do, but plenty of other Brits do.
2) A British person has more right to ask for help from their country than somebody who has contributed absolutely nothing to this country and purposely came here to seek benefits.
Dirty foreigners? I have no problem with people who will contribute and integrate with our society. However, from my own personal experience there is a significant number of muslim and eastern european immigrants whose cultures are far too different to abstain from causing social problems in the UK.(Original post by callum9999)
Not as many as those "dirty foreigners" - but then we take up around 1% of the worlds population, so common sense dictates that the 99% more do it more than the 1%.
Easy solution to that....(Original post by callum9999)
Plus of course, if you're already in a country with a half-decent welfare system you have less incentive to go elsewhere. -
Re: Labour's immigration policy purposely destroyed the UKNot a lot of money? Social security equates to about 35% of Government expenditure....(Original post by lilyobz)

This isnt an anti-immigration thread. It's a "we only want immigrants who will respect UK culture and contribute positively to society" thread.(Original post by lilyobz)

If I went to Mongolia I wouldn't go adversely affecting their social fabric and claiming benefits from them..... -
Re: Labour's immigration policy purposely destroyed the UKWhere have I even mentioned/referred to Caribbean immigrants?(Original post by lilyobz)

Re: Labour's immigration policy purposely destroyed the UKSo could you please explain to me why I know of a LOT of people who cannot speak English, who do not work, who have between 2 and 6 kids and their housing is being paid for them?(Original post by lilyobz)
In order to receive benefits you must be a British citizen... and no that doesn't mean being white and born here... it means you have lived here long enough.
I doubt they wrote to Richard Branson for a handout.... -
Re: Labour's immigration policy purposely destroyed the UKI really respect you for this post. I actually cannot believe how much damage Labour has done to this country. The problem is that it is structural damage that will be so difficult to fix.(Original post by Davij038)
