i follow the shariah AND I AM NOT OPPRESSED!!!
Oh and because you're not oppressed, all other Muslim and non-Muslim women living under Sharia must not be oppressed as well right.:rolleyes:

gives better justice than our farce of a justice system at the least, not that I agree with sharia or anything, just sick of all these raping, paedophilic, disgusting pricks getting away with things lightly.

Women being put to death for being raped.
Exactly, and also, why would the so-called god put us through a test if he already knows what we'll be doing after billions of years.

He seemed to have decided to create something, and then simply put it in hell if that thing didn't actually perform according to his standards.

    Elaborate please.
The divorce settlement allows the male to keep all the wealth, woman being half worth as a Muslim man.

Being wrapped in a blanket (Hijab), and labelling them inferior in almost everything, as such as in worship, decision making, etc.

    frothing ignorant little englanders.

if people wish to use arbitration to resolve differences rather than resort to the civil law then it is their choice , this relies on both parties to be happy to do so.

and 'shariah lending' is just a wrapper on lending that avoids certain words and phrases ... i.e. you pay the capital back and 'rent' the item as as well - it';s what the UK calls 'hire purchase' if the title remains with the lender until it;s paid off.

I love it when non Muslim men take up the "cause" for the rights of Muslim women and center most of their critique against Islam on this issue. News flash bozos, more women than men convert to Islam and most of them are Westernerized. So put away your Captain Mangina cape.

It'd be interesting to see what the burgalry/thieving rates are in countries that use the law, in comparison to countries that don't.

usually when people talk about sharia being oppressive its not the actual rules being oppressive that they are talking about but the idea of people being forced to follow them in certain places. so of course you are not oppressed by choosing to follow sharia but thats not really an argument against people saying that sharia being fully implemented being oppressive so I don't really see your point.

The Quran might not say that women should be put to death for being raped, however, Islam, somehow influences these sort of ideas, only if it is being understood the wrong way around.

It would be, although I can't imagine it is really implemented that often.

If someone steals and you remove their hand, they will be unable to perform a number of jobs, less likely to be employed, are less likely to be able to work for money for food, and are then more likely to need to steal to feed themselves.

Sharia law is - apart from the whole Allah thing - is meant to make a better society. I don't see how you can do that when the punishments either make people commit more crime, or become dependent on the society for survival.

What are the first things that come to your mind when you hear the words 'Shariah Law?'
Witches being executed under the Shariah.

England left its witch hunting days 300 years ago, yet today, in the 21st century, we still see witches being executed in Saudi Arabia.

Any law which has laws on magic in this day and age only shows how backwards it really is.

As an supposed ex muslim, you should know better. But since thats the sort of thing you believe, it isn't surprising you left Islam.
