Hey everyone.
I'm writing an article for my blog (indieicon.wordpress.com) about tan VS pale skin. I'm looking for people's opinions so that my view is not biased (I'm really pale )
Please post your view, either of what you prefer to be or what you prefer the opposite sex to be. Also give a reason or else I can't post it.

Simran 16 Pale! Because girls who have porcelain look beautiful! I wouldn't use my self! Artificial tan looks chavvy and cheap.

I love fair/pale skin! Tan just looks unnatural, I don't get why so many people are obsessed with being tanned anyway, just be happy with your skin colour!

Amber, 17. I prefer being pale myself, mostly because I can't tan anyway so I'd look ridiculous, and also because I really love the whole 50's style and pale skin was quite fashionable then. And I don't care if a guy is pale or tanned, it doesn't matter to me.

Mark, 19. On a girl, I quite like pale, though a light natural tan can also be incredibly good looking. Fake tan is, however, always pointless.
On me, I'm not really bothered. Whatever tan I get from just being outside is what I get. It's usually quite an impressive farmer's tan lol.

I love pale some girls pull it off brilliantly, but some natural tan girls are also just as beautiful as long as its not fake they can look brilliant. I really dont mind what skin they have as long as its not caked in fake tan or bleaching. I myself am tanned naturally, 14 years of living on the equator. If i really had to pick i would choose tan because well then we match but really im not all that fussed.

I'm naturally tanned, but I think if you are pale you should embrace it because I would rather see a girl with her natural skin tone, then someone who has plastered themselves in fake tan (which looks ridiculous in most cases)

If you're naturally pale, then stay pale! People who don't tan naturally always look a bit ridiculous when they use fake tan, in my opinion. I like naturally darker skin tones, but not artificial orange.

I have naturally tannned skin and I really do love that sunkissed look on girls. Like many others have said on here though, just keep to what is natural for you. nothing worse than ****ty fake tan.

I'm naturally really pale and generally consider fake tan to be pointless. I think people should just stick to their natural colour. I'm Irish and considering we get very little sun, I don't see why it should be a problem to be pale. I don't like the attention that pale skin gets though; people are always whispering things like 'look how white that girl is' or asking if I'm feeling faint or why I don't wear darker makeup. I'm used to it now though.

Hannah, 17. Definitely prefer to be pale personally, I feel as though girls who use excessive fake tan look cheap and trashy, and I like my clothes to stay as far from orange stains as possible. I feel like girls in general look better paler.
On the flip side, I find naturally tan guys more attractive than pale ones. No fakery though!

I prefer women with pale skin but a natural tan can look nice too. Fake tan is a definite no.
