Muslims, why would a country like Denmark need to adopt shariah law?
Muslims say that Islam and shariah law are the answer to all of man's problems. That in an ideal shariah society (which according to them does not exist in the world today), there would be little crime and all citizens would enjoy equality and prosperity in a spiritual state dedicated to peace and the promotion of virtue and the prevention of vice. Whenever shariah has been implemented in the modern world, it has ended in human misery, such as in Taliban Afghanistan, Southern Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc. Of course Western Muslims dismiss these areas as not following "the real shariah" among other excuses and thus won't accept them as examples of shariah failing. I ask Muslims this: in the world today we have nations which already enjoy many of the benefits Islam and shariah purport to bring about, such as Denmark and much of Scandinavia. With this in mind, why would these nations need to adopt Islam or shariah law? Will it make their societies any better than they already are, or will it like I believe and many others, diminish their freedoms and reduce the level of advancement they have reached?

Here is a post by Perseveranze listing all the benefits of shariah for a society.
    (Original post by Perseveranze)
    - Justice
    - End to oppression
    - Rich treated the same and equal to poor
    - No more zoo animals held in a cage for human entertainment (lol random)
    - Stopping the deaths of millions through abortion
    - Stopping the deaths of millions through alcohol
    - Stopping the deaths of millions through tabaco
    - Stopping the deaths of millions through drugs
    - Stopping family break downs, sadness/misery/depression, and lives, of thousands through gambling
    - More restriction towards fatal and health-risk STD's, through the banning of Prostitution
    - No more weird and messed up crap like Beastiality (unfortunately legal in many European nations)
    - Resources being shared equally, instead of a person dying from obesity and another dying from hunger.
    - Less crimes
    - No more interest,
    - No more capitalism, no more rich getting richer and poor getting poorer.

    Just to name a few.
Hmmm, shariah doesn't have a track record for solving those problems in the modern world, but liberal secular socialist democracies like Denmark do!

I googled it, and it doesn't seem to bad actually. Why have other middle eastern countries moved away from this model?

The thing that confuses me, is that apparently Saudi Arabia has the money and the will to follow Sharia to the letter, they also have the perfect blueprint to humanity, yet all of those things combined has resulted in a disgusting **** hole of a country. How is this possible? And why does it happen every time a mental group of Islamists seize control of a country?

Why are people so reticent to come out and say that theocratic regimes- of whatever kind- are a bad thing? Are you so afraid of being accused of bigotry or fabricated "islamophobia"?

Interesting that the 'no true scotsman' style defence is common to Communists, socialists and religious fundamentalists. Personally, I prefer an imperfect government style that doesn't result in mass murder the minute anything goes slightly wrong.

Yea I know that but that's not the point of the thread. Try to entertain the question the post is posing to readers.
