Does anyone know how I can get access to the BBC's Olympic channels? I have Freeview and only one event is currently being shown on the red button.

Re: General Olympic Thread
I hope Britain does well in this afternoon's Gymnastics. Though, against power-houses like Australia, America, Italy and some of the stars in the mixed group, I have my doubts. Swimming will hopefully be good for us today also, though cycling I doubt we'll hit a mark.
On a side note, my goodness, the Australian/Italian Gymnastic teams are absolutely stunning. God damn I'm glad I caught that event.
Archery, we had some terrible shots this morning, though with almost every team so far having one or two absolutely attrocious shots, I wonder if it was windage that caused them. We were soundly beaten by Russia as a result, though, but we didn't lose by much given the two Mongols in their team are some of the best archers in the world. I think they'll do well in the final tonight.
Weight lifting, that guy from the PKR set a new Olmypic Record; hell of a lift! Glad to see the North Koreans in the games and with the standing ovation the chap got, I hope it convinces the North Koreans to be more outgoing in their global relations.
Interesting day, could end up being a good day for Britain but with 14 golds to hand out, a lot of people are going to be happy today. -
Re: General Olympic ThreadWell, I'd like to think I understand cycling but I'm certainly stupid.(Original post by Foghorn Leghorn)
So because people don't quite understand a sport they are stupid? -
Re: General Olympic ThreadLook at my post on the previous page(Original post by silent ninja)
Can someone explain this Cavendish business? Negative tactics of teams? Other teams not aiding Britain/preventing them from winning? Eh? I am genuinely confused why they're calling foul. It's a race, weren't they too slow? I don't understand cycling and the BBC has offered little in the way of commentary to explain anything.

The BBC coverage has been crap so far. One article said "failed to win gold" -- so what was won? Bronze? Nothing mentioned! A general lack of details in many sports has spoiled the coverage. They also hop around randomly. Clearly they've spread resources very thinly and it shows.
If anything else needs explaining, feel free to ask.

Re: General Olympic ThreadI'm not surprised to see so many attacks. In a one day race your options are limited if you're not a good sprinter. If you want to medal it's pretty much obligatory to attack. Makes for great entertainment.(Original post by Deshi)
Am I the only one that's surprised at how exciting these road races are?! The women's race has been very good so far, so many people have tried to attack. -
Re: General Olympic ThreadTrue. They pretty much always win. Though right now they aren't leading by THAT much. Perhaps France will catch them up.(Original post by dinrah04)
France don't really stand a chance, USA are just too good at this.
Ah well. No doubt they'll progress far further into the tournament.
