Why does the French speaker speak first?
Just wandering, why is it that the French announcer speaks before the English one. Shouldn't it be the other way round?
EDIT: The answer is:
As well as this:(Original post by Lord of the Flies)
It is because Pierre de Coubertin (French) founded what is known as the "Modern Olympics". Hence the primary language is French.

Deep down, we all know, in our heart of hearts.. that it doesn't make a ****ing difference who speaks first.Last edited by claret_n_blue; 28-07-2012 at 13:00. -
Re: Why does the French speaker speak first? The guy who founded the modern Olympics was French, I don't understand what's so bad about this. And the Olympic Committee is French.(Original post by claret_n_blue)

There's nothing bad about it. I just don't see why its first. E comes before F in the alphabet, so alphabetically, the English announcement should be before than the French one. And, as its in England, I would've thought the English guy would go first.(Original post by Juichiro)

I'm not saying don't have the French one. I'm saying "why is it first".
