Guys - do you have a type?
I've always been curious whether most guys have a 'type'. Sometimes I've been dating a guy and I see his ex-girlfriends all have the same 'look'. I have male friends who have been dating similar looking girls for a long time. Not necessarily in terms of hair colours and skin tone, but in terms of a "cute" face or a androgunuous face.
So for guys, do you have a type?
For instance, Karolina Kurkova is Czech, and has that typical tall, lanky, blonde, blue-eyed look which you may see in East Europeans:
Reese Witherspoon/Rachel McAdams - Southern-State, All-American sweetheart:

Penelope Cruz, the hot Spanish girl:
Lucy Liu (although a mix):
Keira Knightley, fair-skinned British:
Obviously I've chosen some of the best looking girls of each "style"! I'm sure some will find a reason to be hateful, but I'm really just highlighting that there are many types which appeals to guys.
You can make a note of it if you prefer one girl "in spite" of her type.
NB: I'm sure some people (as usual) will go "everybody has different taste!". Well I know, I'm only asking if most have a certain "type". And if that differs a lot from the girls they're used to. A lot can be based on stereotypes and I know sometimes people can find a girl "exotic" if she has a different appearance than the girls they're used to (i.e. guys from Nordic countries can find Brazilian girls particularly exciting, whereas Latin American men often have a thing for blondes).
Just curious how many guys have a type they go for
Although I'm sure the majority will find all of these reasonably attractive.

Re: Guys - do you have a type?As someone who has rejected multiple women, I'd say that there are some of us who are particularly choosy out there. I can't say the same about the majority of my friends, mind.(Original post by MagicNMedicine)
LOL as if guys are that choosy.
I tend to go for weird girls. I can't really define weird in this context, as there's a million different ways it could manifest itself. It doesn't happen often, though even just looking at a woman, I can see that unique quality about them- that 'weirdness' that sets them apart from %99 of women. I realise that's incredibly vague, though I can't describe it any better. I just know when I see it, and if it's right, I move in.
On a more obvious level, I tend to go for more slim, tall, striking brunettes. The draw is magnified tenfold if she has a bob haircut, or a short cut of some sort. -
Re: Guys - do you have a type?
If i had to pick i would probably say Latina but of the choices you provided i would say either Karolina Kurkova or Keira Knightley (don't have anything against Penelope Cruz, i just find the other two more attractive). Don't think many guys have an exclusive "type" but some might have certain features they find off putting.

Re: Guys - do you have a type?reese witherspoon is so perfect it's almost hard to look at her (although that pic probably isn't her best). if I had to pick a type then she's it.(Original post by Millie228)

Re: Guys - do you have a type?
Tall (same height as me would be ideal; I'm 6'1"), milk-white skin, blonde or red hair (+1 for bright orange hair
), delicate features, cute little button nose, blue eyes, curvy, big boobs, wide hips, narrow waist and shoulders.
Obviously this is just an ideal. If I was actually that picky I'd be a permavirgin.Last edited by Einheri; 28-07-2012 at 00:07. -
Re: Guys - do you have a type?Is this a nature-born preference or something you came up with the first time you saw Christina Hendricks?(Original post by Einheri)

Re: Guys - do you have a type?Personally I wouldn't mind Reese witherspoon or Penelope Cruz or a short and cute type of girl such as Pixie lott.(Original post by Millie228)

Re: Guys - do you have a type?Eyebrows have been raised.(Original post by + polarity -)
I like to think I don't, but I have recently acknowledged that I may have a thing for little brown girls.
