    Cheap good camera for uni
I want a camera that is fairly cheap, preferably under £50, but can take decent photos... any suggestions?

I've got myself a similar one to the second link and has been reliable through out my first yr of uni...if u get one that takes batteries I strongly suggest buying rechargeable batteries of a good brand

Might as well get a second hand iPhone 4. Can probably pick up an unlocked one for £200. Camera is fantastic for a phone.
    Or even better a 4S.

The idea is you get a decent phone as well as a good camera.

If you're happy with your phone and just want a camera I would go for the 2nd one

OP said quite specifically that they're on a 50£ budget...whats the point of suggesting something for 200£? OP didn't mention anything about wanting a phone

What do people think about this: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/vivitar...24943-pdt.html

Whatever you get, I'd personally suggest something with a lithiom ion rechargable battery - last longer and you don't ever have to bother changing batteries, as normal batteries run out VERY quickly when using rechargable batteries.

Other than that, there aren't too many differences with the rest of the extreme budget cameras

Who said OP wanted or needed, by your definition, a "decent phone"?

And btw, a 50£ camera would have far more capabilities and power than most even high end phones
