Multicultural TM. Roll up, roll up, everybody get yer Multicultural here. It's the coolest thing around. Get with it and get yer Multicultural.
I think they think if they don't promote multiculturalism at every opportunity, the country will erupt and people will go ape. They're ****ting their pants. -

Whilst i agree that it was a bit leftie at times, i have to say that his multicultural comment was backward, couple that with his idiotic portrayal of China being communist and i find myself once again thinking, "why don't these people just f*uck off to Ukip and leave the Tories to take modern view rather than social conservatism".

I guess multiculturalism is the UK equivalent of communism in the old Soviet Union. Any criticism and you're out.
Time for politicians with some guts to get outside the tent and start pissing in. -
Re: Olympics opening ceremony was 'multicultural crap', Tory MP tweets
A) It is London 2012. So, the opening ceremony is meant to represent London, which is probably the most multicultural city in the world.
B) It is better than Bejing 2012, which has children representing each ethnic group....only each child was Han Chinese
C) People really should have known it was going to be crap before they started. -

They seem to purposely use black people and few white faces as the points of focus. Britain is still overwhelmingly white so I don't understand that point. It should've been more representative of the population.

Re: Olympics opening ceremony was 'multicultural crap', Tory MP tweetsYes, because the image we want to project to the world is a divided Britain with class and race wars and rioting(Original post by lilyobz)
Not the racial components of the participants but of the performance in general, the whole idea of "one Britain"
"One Britain" is much better than the alternatives.

Re: Olympics opening ceremony was 'multicultural crap', Tory MP tweetsIt's not a significant part of British history.(Original post by whyumadtho)
Modern music (are you going to claim that song wasn't immensely popular?) and a significant component of British history.
The British built an empire spanning 1/4th of the world and dragged the world out of the middle ages by pioneering the industrial revolution. We have a history of thousands of years before this empire even came about.
No, a ship full of foreigners is not a significant part of British history. What a massive insult to the great achievements of the British to claim some foreign immigrants is a big part of our history.
Being able to live in Britain is a big part of black history, not vice versa.
