    MUN bank of development
My idea is simple I'd like MUN to create a bank with the help of the states that are members, this bank would specialize in promoting development, growth of sub-saharan countries and other nations that suffer from a high rate of poverty, it would have the role to evaluate countries needs and from there raise funds in other to help those countries, it would have to be a bank that is independent but all its executive committee from the governor to the executive director would be designated by the secretary general then approved by the A.G that bank would need around $BN25 to start running I am defending this project as the representative of the Gambian republic, and I open this thread in order for the MUN to listen to my proposition ...... give me your opinion.
    regards,

I'm not sure how this would work - it could be ran in conjunction with the DFID representative from the HOC.

We are a virtual MUN, so the value of any aid payments would be purely hypothetical.

The MHoC is currently reviewing its aid budget especially in light of the MHoC's merger of DfID and the FCO. I shall be in a better position to let you know if the MHoC can spare any money once I have begun work on the DfID/ FCO budget.

Georgia would urge the representative for Gambia to submit a resolution regarding this matter to the Security General so this chamber can debate this interesting idea fully.

Georgia has already established diplomatic relations with our Gambian friends in 2010. Indeed this idea of a development bank is interesting, however Georgia would like to bring to the attention of Gambia that similar banks have already been created including the African Development Bank which Gambia is a member of and tackles the issues the representative for Gambia has conveyed.

Nevertheless if Gambia feels strongly about this issue, then we encourage the representative to table a resolution in front of the chamber and possibly gain the support of Gambia's African allies regarding the issue.

Whilst this is undoubtedly an interesting idea im curious as to what kind of meaningfulness it could possibly bring to the MuN as it would be purely hypothetical and most likely rather hard to work into many of the threads bar the occassional hyp?
No disrespect to the idea, just curious how you intend to make it workable

Malaysia believes that in theory this would be a good mechanism for development, and would aid substantially towards "Developing a global partnership for development". If there could be a testing of this in practice, it is suggested that it would be able to forge intrinsical links for development.

Actually I want to make it work like a non-for-profit institution that is independent with a large number of executive acting toward promoting and enhancing global economy, with aim of providing managerial skills based upon theory and hypothetical idea that will lead the bank to achieve great objectives and make us know more about financial theory

It looks like cimperator has been negged. I'd like to remind everyone that it is an unwritten rule that people generally don't neg people here in the MUN as it's not good ettiquette. The only exception would be the MUN Off topic thread.
Please refrain from negging people in topical debates.

    Thanks.
