    GiffGaff Sim - Help.
I have a few questions, these are what I can think of so far.

How do you get your giffgaff number, without topping up?

How do you transfer your original number onto the giffgaff sim?

    I'm confused

    1. i dont know what you mean by that
    2. First you need to call your network ask for a PAC code then call giffgaff and they will transfer the number for you

You should go to giffgaff website, there are loads of faqs and you can post your queries there. Hope this help

    1. Text NUMBER to 2020. This will only work if the sim is activated.
To activate go to this link
https://giffgaff.com/activate-sim/ and then you have to top it up and it will be activated and you will have a number.

Is how you transfer your number.

Do you need to buy top up first through your debit card on the website (which is rather risky), and then you can officially transfer the numbers over?

Yeah. Or you can buy and O2 voucher. Why would it be risky?

Right, so I can buy a 02 voucher to top up and therefore activate my sim? I always have the feel that there may be an underlying virus on my computer which anti-virus cannot check, and may purchase my debit number. Very small chance, but still possible.

Yeah I'm a bit like that too with debit card transactions over the internet.

Yeah you can buy an O2 voucher and activate it like that.

When I talk to 02 customer service. They seem to deny that giffgaff is powered by the 02 company. Either they do not know about their company very much, or giffgaff is a very dodgey deal.

    My other questions.
So you buy the voucher...Do you put the giffgaff sim in your phone? Which number do you call to top up? In the website it says to activate by topping up with debit card, are you sure voucher will work?

Yeah I always top up with the voucher.

You activate the sim by the links I posted before I think for the first time you have to top up online via voucher or debit card and then from the second time onwards you can do it by phoning up 43430.

i am also getting a sim any time soon
on the website, it says i will get £5 with the sim.
so if i add £5 more pounds first time will it give me the £10 goody bag
in the future, if i otp up £10 by buying a giff gaff voucher from paypoint, will i automatically go in for a goodybag, or will it give 10 pounds of minutes and texts
will it always give goodybags or do i text something special
    thanks.

To activate the sim you must top up £10 (or more), and then you will get your £5 free credit to give you £15 credit.

You can then buy a goodybag on the website at https://giffgaff.com/buy. You can buy the £10 goodybag using your credit you have, so you'll have the £10 goodybag and £5 credit left remaining.

In the future if you buy a voucher, it will give you £10 credit and not the goodybag. To buy the goodybag you have to buy it online via the website, and then buy it from your credit

To activate you need to top up £10. So you will have £15 of credit you could top up by a fiver the following month and buy a £10 goodybag assuming you don't use the £5 credit.

No you have to buy the goodybag so the £10 credit is gone and you get 250 minutes and unlimited texts and web.

And you have to buy the goodybag each time it's not an automated service.

Are you saying that, giffgaff takes away your £10 everytime you top up?

Can I not just give £5 from my debit card so it can equalise to £10?

I've topped up £10. But it doesn't seen to show on my credit?

The part in bold is not true, there is a 'Auto top up' Button in your profile, and a 'recur your goody bag' button.
