Re: Is £13,000 alot of money for a student who is 21 years old
Yeah it's a lot, are you going into your first year or have you already started?
You should work out how much you need and put some of the rest in an ISA - if it's in a high interest savings account you can make some more money off it, that's what I plan to do with some of mine anyway

Re: Is £13,000 alot of money for a student who is 21 years oldI would doubt it.............as your living at home you'll be saving a lot, but if your starting uni this year with the 9k than I would say it's a different story.(Original post by markread45)
would the average 21 year old have it?? -
Re: Is £13,000 alot of money for a student who is 21 years oldunless he is paying tuition fees himself upfront how will that make any difference what so ever?(Original post by Iqbal007)

Re: Is £13,000 alot of money for a student who is 21 years oldim saying if its 9k fee, he'll be more inclined pay it off early, but if he's not, £13k is a quite a lot for a student.(Original post by cid)

Re: Is £13,000 alot of money for a student who is 21 years oldDepends on the context doesn't it(Original post by markread45)
and goes uni. My head feels funny about money i don't think it's much?
For some people that is nothing, for others it represents an annual income
Also depends on why you have it and what your personal outgoings are -
Re: Is £13,000 alot of money for a student who is 21 years oldIs it average what(Original post by markread45)
is it average?
average savings = no
average salary = unlikely since it would be part time work
average inheritance = no but not unlikely
or average something else
