I don't think anything we tell you will change your mind.
    Actually, this has really helped.

    (Original post by whyumadtho)
There's nothing wrong with you; I certainly didn't notice anything unusual about your chest that would be in accordance with what you believe to be "ridiculously large moobs". :lolwut:
    Thank you.

loool you look pretty much like me. I think you look quite sexy I think you don't need to diet anymore or anything like that.

Just make the most of what you have is all I can say

    (Original post by Bellissima)
no honestly your body is 100% FINE!!!!!! if you are unhappy with your body then hit the gym and eat a good healthy diet (check out fitness section)... rather than surgery! but there is no need because your body is completely normal and fine!! nothing wrong with it!! it's nice.
    Thank you

Thread can be closed, it has served it's purpose, my mentality hasn't changed but if it's actually not that bad then yay

Sorry for blabbing, I haven't spoken to anyone about this before, find it embarrassing.

I honestly think you look in good shape!
You don't need an operation or anything like that cos you look fine- and there are others who need it more!
I know how difficult it is to be comfortable in your own skin, but you just need to relax and work it out through more counselling
You look great! Have fun in Mexico!

Your body is not the problem here. Fat people still go to parties so why can't you - a perfectly (physically) healthy 16 yr old go to parties? No matter what you do to make your body 'perfect' it will never stay that way forever and we all have lots of things that we don't like about our bodies. It's part of being human and it's something you need to conquer.

Ask your GP to put you on some anti-depressants to calm your anxiety. Cipramil is very good while not being strong enough to make you feel high. They're meant to be for adults (18+) only but medically it shouldn't really make any difference. You'll probably find that once you attend some social events feeling happy and relaxed on those that when you come off them you'll be able to look back and think 'that was fun'. The fact of the matter is that you'll have to overcome far greater obstacles than self consciousness during your life and you need to toughen up a bit and get to grips with tackling things head on.

I thought that that was a link to your body, not the state of Texas?

I kid, it was actually the USA itself?

Ah I'm joking again, blame numerous shots. Come on man, you don't need to be a driver with good spatial awareness to see that you aren't fat and it's all in your head.

    No you're not fat, you're a BEAST.

Again I kid, damn you shots and at the same time, I love you shots.

Smile dude. Stand on a busy street and just look around. You'll see many who would kill for your body.

Want genuine advice? I think the issue is with your ideals, and no amount of training can remedy that. I'm no GP, so I suggest you go and see one, but I suspect the problem is more psychological than physical.
    Indeed, what are my ideals?

    (Original post by TB.93)
Your body is absolutely fine. I have come across boys with far worse bodies than yours who think they are absolute Gods. I defo agree with the others it's in your head. I am being extremely honest many boys would want bodies like yours even...

I cannot see this, but thank you for taking the time to post :-)

Sorry, I didn't make my point well. Your problems aren't physical, they're mental. You need help to address the way you are viewing yourself, which is flawed because there is nothing wrong with your body.

You're 16, you're still developing into a man and even a fully grown man would be pretty pleased with that body! Would I sleep with someone with your body? If they were closer to my age I would, it's not about what's underneath your clothing, if I'm attracted enough to you with your clothes on I'm sure as hell not going to be disappointed with that being underneath. What will impact on your attractiveness is how you feel about yourself and there is little point in you pursuing a sexual relationship until you begin dealing with that.

You must speak to your psychiatrists about this, it's the only way you can deal with it, this goes beyond general body hang ups that most of us have.
I think the problem lies more with my strive for perfection, but thank you for your post. As for the sexual relationship, I have had past sexual experiences, but I make excuses to keep my top on, or just don't mention it.

Wow that's some dedicated cardio. I said quit it because I thought you were doing it with the hope it would improve your view of yourself - if it hasn't so far, it probably won't. By all means continue that because it sounds really good but in addition I would recommend weight lifting. Basically get your ass to a gym and start lifting heavy weights. Look up form and anything else you need in the TSR fitness forum then stick to it. Eat more so that you're not burning off all your gains with the excessive cardio, esp. protein. It'll change your body more than just making you skinny like the cardio is doing. And trust me, girls love a guy with a nice defined chest. You'll feel a whole bunch better about yourself if you start lifting weights and seeing the results from it.
Gyms man, anxious, I've got no arm muscle, what will those big men look at me and laugh haha..

I do come off social events thinking, wow that was a great night, but It's the anxiety before that stops me, even though I know I'll enjoy it, I just can't do it. As for medication, I am already on propranolol, so thank you for that suggestion.

No one inherently knows how to work the machines, everyone learns. When you join a gym they generally offer an induction which will show you how everything works. Or you can check on the internet, there's loads of sites on correct form for weight lifting.

I've been lifting weights about 12 weeks now and already my chest looks a lot more impressive, my arms and shoulders look much better and my back looks stronger too. I'm really pleased with the results and it's making me a lot more confident in my body. I reckon you should give it a shot because there's zero wrong with your body you just need more confidence. And personally for me at least, muscles and taking care of yourself give confidence. Just a suggestion :dontknow: I mean you're considering surgery, surely this has to be the easier route?

Sometimes we aren't strong enough to deal with things without them. If used for the right reasons they can help us push ourselves through difficult times and once we are on the other side we can look back at everything we've gone through and overcome and that sense of achievement will strengthen us for the future. For people suffering from anxiety issues, talking about it will only do so much good before eventually you just end up becoming too analytical.
