Playmobil Bin Lorry. I'll take this over an X-Box or widescreen television any day.

Note: I didn't meticulously execute that Playmobil photoshoot by the way. Found it on Google Images.

Re: What's the best present you have ever received?
This was possibly my best present ever...

Or more recently, when my Mum took my on holiday for my 21st. Or perhaps the present my boyfriend (at the time) bought me for my 21st. Not because of the present itself (well, that too) but sort of the way he presented it to me. Like the effort he'd gone into buying it, the thought he'd put into it, how excited he was to give it to me to see if I liked it, how interested he was when I was going to use it. I felt like it was a genuine present (possible the best presetnt ever!) rather than a present any old person would buy me.

Re: What's the best present you have ever received?Care to explain? If life is a loan, and is the thing you'll have the longest while you're on earth, then surely everything else, temporal within life, is too?(Original post by Scoobiedoobiedo)
No
Nothing is eternally yours my friend, sorry to break it to you. -
Re: What's the best present you have ever received?
My watch. My (then) gf spent ages and ages looking for one she thought I'd like. I don't really know how much it was, but it has to be well into triple figures. She gave it to me in a massive box (about the right size for a fridge) and packed it full of those foam wotsit things. Took me about 10 minutes to find it.
After that, she cooked for me and we had a really nice night at some ballroom function thing, black tie event. Probably one of the genuinely nicest days of my life. -

I always wanted one of those - my neighbours got Sylvanian families long before us, they filled their front cupboard (big enough for three people and a coffee table) with them; used to sit there for hours playing .. Never did get the boat but I was given the bus for my ninth birthday as far as I remember, packed half a dozen furry friends on to it and took them on a "beach trip" to the bottom of the garden, making rest stops along the way so they didn't get too bored!! Beach was my old baby bath (blue - an obvious choice for the sea) with a yellow kneeling pad as the sand!
Good times
Best presents of old though would be my Barbie dolls over the years (plus the nursery set, kitchen set, pet shop, doctor & dentist, bathtime set etc!) - they were worn out by the time they were shipped to charity shops! Quite a few had lost arms, legs, one's head was hanging off - they just became amputees or in the case of Wobbly Head Ken, became a bit confused and grumpy!
Best presents of late would be a DKNY watch that my grandma got me for my 18th, a gold necklace/silver locket from my mum for 18/21st respectively and a celtic heart for my 16th from my aunty
