    I need advice!!
    Hey everyone.

I've finished my first year of Biomedical Science at the University of Bedfordshire. In short, I hate the university. I only went there through clearing. I did poorly in my A Levels. I achieved CCCE in my A Levels. The E was in math (I thought I was going to fail). The three C's were in Biology, PE and Government and Politics.

The university is a forty minute drive. The staff are bad at getting back to you with results. The location isn't very nice. I live at home, thankfully. I've made some great friends there. But everything to do with the academics is such a hassle. For one of our assignments in October, we only got our results for it on Results Day! No conditional grade was given at all. We received no feedback until Results Day. When we asked, we were just fobbed off.

I did ask Brunel University about a transfer to the second year but was told that you had to meet the original entry requirements. It's a shame because I would have loved to go to Brunel. Its facilities seem amazing and it's within walking distance.

Do all universities require that you meet the original entry requirement? Or do they take in to account your first year grades? Also, as I was part of the year that payed £3,375, would I have to pay £9000 if I transferred?

Thank you for your help. I can't imagine having to spend another two years there. However, if it's my only choice I will. I don't want to dropout. I love the course. Thanks everyone!

Most will expect you to meet their original requirements

In some cases it is possible that you have done so well during Y1 they will accept you ... assuming the study in your Y1 was acceptable to them

Are you thinking of applyingnow to start somewhere in 2012 ... this is a bit late

I would expect you to be on old fees if you are continuing rather than starting again

The only real answer is to call admissions officers and ask
