    Paying rent without a contract.
Hi, I've signed and sent back my contract along with my deposit. But i havnt recieved the copy of the contract that my landlady had signed (she emailed it, i printed it and signed it and send it back for her to sign and re-send).
Im supposed to start paying from the 1st August. I don't think i feel comfortable paying rent without a fully signed contract. Should i say this? or just pay?

i think she's fobbing you off. demand a copy of the contract or say you'll find a different landlady...

You don't need to have a written, dual signed contract to form a tenancy. If your living in the landlords house and have paid money to them then you have an implied contract. You have the same rights as tenants with a dual signed contract.

I would not worry too much about it but I would still eventually want for your landlady to sign the contract so you have an agreed set of terms for the tenancy.
