    Waiting Time?
    Hey guys, super quick question!

For those of you who had to send your results to the uni yourself, how long did it take them to get back to you? I emailed them my results with a scan of my result sheet, and I was wondering how long it takes them to get back as I'm worried it didn't go through or something as I sent it through hotmail.

Also, when they change your offer from conditional to unconditional, how long until you find out about accommodation as well? I'm just curious as from over seas I need know this all asap and I'm kinda freaking out a bit XD

    Thank you!

From overseas it always takes ages, it genuinely can take up to 10 to 12 days before they even get stuff but since you sent it via email they should have had it instantly. I always tell students to just keep on top of things, if you think it's taking too long then ring (NOT email!) the University and ask if they have received everything. Although it should not happen, sometimes emails get lost in the mass. As soon as they got your results your offer is usually made into an unconditional one and soon after you get your accommodation pack with everything.

You can already start applying for accommodation though? You don't necessarily need to wait till you get your pack!

Oh okay thanks, if it takes 2 weeks and I hear nothing, I'll call them (maybe before, depends if anything happens regarding my grant) I have applied for accommodation already, but they don't tell you where you will be until your offer is changed and seeing as people are posting in the fb freshers group where they'll be I was wondering how long a wait that'd be too, I feel a bit behind and lost! >.< Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!

In fact they won't even process your application for accommodation as long as you are still conditional. Once your offer is unconditional it will be changed and processed

I understand where you are coming from though, it's a frustrating process and 'communication' doesn't seem to be Hertfordshire's strongest point when it comes to admissions sadly. I don't know what it is but they are always quite late. That's one of the main reasons why I always tell students to just keep on ringing them - it's your application and your future so it's quite a big thing! Better safe than sorry

    Re: Waiting Time?
I went and called them today and the woman said I should've received an automated email back as soon as I sent my email, which I didn't get. She gave me another email to send the scan to and I got an automated message this time saying it'd take 7 days due to the high volume of emails. So I must've been given the wrong one to start with, but at least it's all getting sorted now. Thanks for the help Pop_tart!

My results were emailed to them on 6th July, and I've just had my offer change to unconditional today. There was some confusion over whether they received them though, but thankfully all sorted now, though it took longer than I would've liked I guess they are very busy!

Wow a month? Doesn't sound like seven days to me... hmm. I guess they're busier than we though haha. Oh well, at least I'm in before the A Level rush as they get given in 2 weeks >.< I hope they do hurry though, but there's nothing more I can do now.
