Male here.

To begin with...I don't consider myself to be like every other guy. I don't see sex as a majorly massive thing in my life, yeah its fun but at the end of the day I don't want to spent all of my time pursuing it.

Anyway, I was thinking the other day that I have never been in a relationship where I have truly wanted to hold and care for a girl. I've had plenty of relationships but to me they have felt like a "Were exclusively having sex, btw were boyfriend and girlfriend" which is why they usually fall apart as I rarely snuggled with those girlfriends.

I'm 22 now, turning 23 this year and I know thats reasonably young (i'm a mature student just about to begin my second university year) but I'm just worried that I will never find that someone that I really want to look after. I mean I do technically have a best friend that I look after who is female but we wouldn't make a good couple, argue a **** load as friends and I can be quite a jackass at times. I would also never want to lose her as a friend so thats a no go, tbh I've snuggled with her, made out whilst drunk and **** but thats just fun and games.

Is anyone else worried that they won't find that "someone."

It's just that you haven't found anyone who you truly care for yet and want to protect and hold and love. It's just a matter of time. If anything, the fact that you care so much for your friend is a good sign as it shows you have the ability to be like that.

So yeah, just keep looking and maybe one day you'll find a girl who you really love.

Tbh, it does seem like you and your best friend would actually make a good couple.. you say you argue as friends, but that could be as part of banter? they say the greatest relationships are the ones willing to work through there troubles - which is kind of what you and her do now.. there must be something there if shes the only girl you snuggled.. (girls love snuggles..) as well as making out with her while drunk.. I know this might not be the case but is something worth thinking about.. Mind you, i know its annoying when people say this and you actually dont have any feelings for your best friend..

Anyway, as people stated above, you perhaps haven't found the right person yet.. obviously snuggles actually mean alot to you and it does seem like you have to fall head over heels for someone to be completely true to them.. You'll meet someone who you will truly love.. just keep looking and dont give up
