    Bag for Uni?
Just wondering what peoples' thoughts are on the best type of bag to use for general everyday university use, and where the best place to get a bag would be?

I have one of those Gola ones, it's a decent size to fit my computer and A4 notebooks in and I don't usually need to carry around loads of books.

Has a bit of a downside that it can whack against my leg when it's heavy and bruise me quite badly - best to use a rucksack on heavier days (I have a nice one from Roxy, roundish, square pocket, pretty popular style a few years back)

I have the same question so will bump this thread

I was planning on just using my current shoulder bag which has zippy pockets, but want to know how common backpacks are.

Or maybe even a smaller satchel if I'm not going to be carrying lots of big stuff? I guess it depends on the course...

edit: once you have your ideal bag in mind, shopstyle.co.uk is a good search tool

    Whatever you want really.

I have a satchel style one for lectures, but if I'm taking books or a laptop to the library I'll just use a big tote bag or a rucksack.

Just the same kind of style you used for school really. There's a mix of rucksacks and messenger bags so don't worry about standing out or whatever, no one really cares. Personally I prefer rucksacks as they distribute the weight better, especially if you have a couple of textbooks in there. I normally get mine from Argos, John Lewis has a big range too.

I ordered a wee eastpak backpack off Amazon last month for uni. Wasn't that expensive and seems to be good quality just watch your measurements though to make sure you get one that's the perfect size for you and what you need.
